/Charity Case Study: Barrie Wells Trust Awareness Video

#Box4Kids

The Brief
The Brief

Entrepreneur turned philanthropist Barrie Wells established charity Box4Kids to give sick children in hospitals around the country, the opportunity to enjoy a VIP experience and take their minds off their illnesses and treatment for a day.

We were commissioned by The Jockey Club, a Barry Wells Trust charity partner, to create a video that tells the story of the charity and its work, and help raise awareness amongst venues and corporate box holders.

The Strategy

During a Box4kids day at Aintree Racecourse, our team were on site for the day to capture the real emotive moments of the kids enjoying the day and having fun.

Throughout the day we spoke to a number of the children, parents and ambassadors of the charity to document their reactions to the event. These unscripted and honest responses allowed us to show the real memories that were made at the event and what that meant to the children and their families.

The Results

The result was a candid and emotive short film that demonstrated the partnership approach between the charity and The Jockey Club and the value the charity offers to those it supports.

Collectively this worked not only to explain how the charity works to potential supporters, but to simulate a response without the need for a direct appeal.

Watch the video above to see the results for yourself.
