We worked in partnership with Digital Sports Management to support the announcement of The Premier League’s new name, number and sleeve badge, designed and manufactured by Avery Dennison. 

The objective of the project was to create an inspirational, documentary-style video that captured the extensive process and creative design work that went into changing the back of shirt font for the 23/24 season across all clubs taking part in each Premier League season moving forward.

Filmed in locations in Norway, London and Liverpool this short sports documentary captures the design and manufacturing process of the new font and highlights the incredible work and attention to detail that goes into changing a font for all of the Premier League shirts, both for retail and on-pitch for the players who will be wearing them. 

The documentary follows the creation and reasons for the new designs and the sustainable manufacturing and production at Avery Dennison. It also showcases what the shirt numbers mean to the people wearing them and features interviews with Alan Shearer and Ian Wright.

We created a documentary-style piece that tells the creative story of the inspiration, development, design and production process behind the most iconic names and numbers on the backs of the most famous football shirts in the world. 

The film also served to promote the amazing work done by Avery Dennison in partnership with the Premier League, and create awareness around sustainability and design.
