Long-standing client, Betfred, tasked us with devising a fresh and innovative creative concept for their 2021 TV and digital campaigns to drive awareness and engagement with their Brand.


Live sport was finally starting to welcome crowds back after lockdown. Our concept celebrated sport being back and what it means to fans when celebrating a win with their favourite team, sport, or event.

The idea of highlighting live events and their audiences across the year was solid, and we knew it needed a big personality to give it the cut-through we were looking for.

Betfred was keen on a brand ambassador but previously struggled to find the right person.

We came up with Michael Buffer. For us, he represents the main event and his famous tagline “Let’s get ready to rumble” is world-renowned, so we knew he would work. 

Starting in July, the first TV ad went live in November 2021, followed by a series of six further adverts focusing on key dates in the horse racing calendar, various promotions, and a gambling awareness campaign. 

Each TV advert was complemented by a range of digital assets and POS designs for roll in-store, culminating in one of Betfred’s most impactful campaigns to date.
