Case study: LJMU – Promotional Video for Egyptian Student Market

LJMU wanted a video to showcase the university to prospective applicants before they make their final decision on where to attend. The video needed to have an impact at LJMU’s prospect event and be an engaging asset for use across digital channels.

The Egyptian student market is significant for LJMU, and the objective was to appeal to Egyptian applicants.

The video’s key purpose is to represent Liverpool as a desirable destination for Egyptian students.

Shot from the perspectives of current Egyptian Students, it features informal, conversational style interviews with the students relating why they chose Liverpool, what their daily life as a student in the city entails and how they feel about the city.

The student voices were overlaid with university and city location footage, as the students tell their personal stories and individual experiences about the city of Liverpool.

Focusing on the qualities of the city of Liverpool that makes life as an international student enjoyable and valuable, we produced a video that supported LJMU’s international student uptake in their courses. Check out the video above.
