The Strategy

Horse racing as we know it today has its roots in Chester Racecourse, so for this film, we drew upon the wealth of historical archives with recollections of some of horse racing’s most prominent figures – Michael Owen, Marwan Koukash and Franny Norton – to tell the story of racing at this prestigious course.

The film needed to remain in keeping with the creative that was established for the year’s commemorative events, whilst presenting the variety of artefacts and anecdotes in a compelling, engaging and emotive way.

We produced a series of video and animation content which were all brought to life with bespoke illustrations, animations and specialist filming.

The content was deployed regionally on TV via Sky Adsmart, on billboard sites as well as via a social media and digital marketing campaign.
