To support the delivery of their international tourism campaign Buzzing for the Weekend, Marketing Cheshire commissioned us to create a destination marketing film. Aimed at encouraging young people from Spain & Portugal to visit key cities in the North West.

During the course of the film, we follow six friends on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. The video shows an activity-packed 3-night stay. Showcasing the soul of the places they visit, connecting with the rhythm and pulse of each city’s alternative culture. 

We see them in natural, spontaneous, authentic moments in a variety of situations. Cut together in a kinetic, vivid edit style, utilising styles designed to appeal to a younger market.

We incorporated a mix of camera styles, from 4K cinematography to Super 8mm, to stop motion, to an ‘Instagram’ mobile phone effect.

Pacing of the video match the energy of the cities

The Results

The final video was cut into a range of edits for different social media platforms. The viewers were immersed directly within the group of friends, as if experiencing it for themselves, travelling with the group and discovering these places through their eyes.
