The Royal Liverpool Hospital planned to reinstate the ‘Silver Badge’ – a badge worn by nurses with pride to show where they completed their training.
The hospital was holding an event to relaunch the Silver Badge and commissioned us to create a video that would help to explain and demonstrate the reason for bringing it back.
The video took the form of a mini documentary. We created a form-edit to show how much history surrounds nursing in Liverpool. By overlaying shots of the hospital from the past over shots of the present day, we gave a visual indication of the history.
Through the course of the film the narrative outlined why the badge was important – past and present – and we gain context from everyone involved.
This built up to a moment of reveal – where the new badge design was unveiled to the audience.
The reinstatement of the Silver Badge was greatly received and the video was the perfect way to tell the story at the event.
