Betfred has a long association with the sport of horse racing; it is a huge part of its history. Cheltenham is the pinnacle of the jumps racing season and Betfred wanted a standout advert to capitalise on the attention Cheltenham brings.

They commissioned us to create and produce a hero TV Commercial that maximised their offers for the 2023 Cheltenham race event, including creating a Behind The Scenes video, social media content and photography all from one shoot.

We focused on the preparation, dedication and hard-work that goes on behind the scenes to care for and prepare these elite thoroughbred horses for a big race at Cheltenham.

Capturing the early morning magic of life on the yard and the drama and power of a horse at full gallop, we filmed with a cinematic documentary lens and created an effective, powerful soundscape, keeping the feel honest and a little raw. 

We filmed at Down Farm in Gloucestershire, where they have produced over 840 winners across the UK, France and Ireland (including two Grade One winners at Cheltenham).

The Results

We produced a hero National TV Commercial, plus a suite of additional content used in Betfred shops and across their social media.

With additional BTS assets for social media, digital marketing assets and a national radio campaign.
